General questions about the application
What is the procedure once I have decided on tippevent?
- Choose your favorite prediction game on our website.
- Provide us with your contact details and the information required for the setup (depending on the package you have booked, the desired prediction league user, the name of the prediction league or the future domain) via the form.
- We will take care of all further steps. You will receive your individual access data promptly and can get started straight away.

What are the technical requirements?
The prediction game is hosted on our servers and is fully technically supported by us. To set up the PREMIUM Prediction Game, ALLSTAR Prediction Game and ALL-INCLUSIVE Prediction Game packages, simply tell us the domain you want your prediction game to be accessible under in the future. You set this up with your domain service and enter the IP address of our server. We will provide you with the specific information after booking.
All users need is a device with an internet browser and an internet connection. Our prediction game can be used on PCs, tablets and smartphones, regardless of the device.
Can I continue using tippevent after the World Championship?
Yes, tippevent has its roots in the permanent Bundesliga operation and can be used wonderfully for this purpose. Our long-standing customers, such as Hitradio RTL or the Saxon radio association BCS, have already benefited from this for several seasons.
Let us know and we’ll set up your prediction game in time for the new season for the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga, the Champions League or other top European leagues.
Can tippevent also be used for other events such as handball, Formula 1 or ice hockey?
Yes, there are no limits to the versatility of Tippevent. Even cross-sport prediction games, e.g. for prediction leagues for several sports clubs in a city, are possible. We would be happy to advise you on your individual tippevent.
Is the site also available on mobile devices?
Yes, the prediction game is designed and implemented as a web app and is therefore fully functional on all device classes (desktop PC, tablet and smartphone) via a browser. We are also working on the implementation of native apps for Android and iOS.
Questions about the prediction game
What is a prediction league?
A prediction league is a room or lobby for prediction for a selected group of people or a specific user group. You can create your own prediction leagues for a European Championship tournament, for example for different departments, groups of friends or family, and invite participants by email. In the BASIC tippevent package, you can design your prediction league with your own logo and a design color.
How many prediction leagues can I create?
As an organizer, you can create up to 5 prediction leagues in the PREMIUM tippevent package. If you need more, you can book the “Unlimited number of prediction leagues” extension at any time. This extension is already included in the ALL-INCLUSIVE Tippevent package. The FREE version also has no limit to the number of prediction leagues.
What is the maximum number of participants?
- The FREE version allows 25 users per prediction league.
- In the BASIC version, up to 50 users can take part in each prediction league.
- A maximum of 500 participants are possible in the PREMIUM package. A further 500 users can be booked via an extension. We are happy to implement any additional requests on an individual basis.
- The ALLSTAR version includes up to 2,500 participants. Larger user numbers can be agreed individually.
- The ALL-INCLUSIVE tippevent is designed for up to 10,000 users. Further scaling is technically possible. Depending on your requirements, we will set up your own Prediction Game server.
Are there any bonus questions?
Yes, the popular bonus questions are included. Before the tournament, for example, the world champion or the performance of the German team is predicted. So you can make up additional places in the leaderboard after the match tips.
The bonus questions can be answered up until the start of the tournament.
Can I create my own bonus questions?
Up to two of your own bonus questions can be stored in the PREMIUM administration area.
In addition, individual solutions with custom prediction game concepts are also possible. Simply get in touch with us.
Are the national flags of the teams displayed?
Yes, each participating team appears with its national flag.
How does the points system work?
The prediction game is deliberately designed to be beginner-friendly. Therefore, there is no extensive set of rules that need to be studied before the kick-off.
- A correct result scores 4 points.
- A correctly guessed difference scores 3 points.
- A correctly predicted tendency scores 2 points.
In the event of a draw, the following applies: a correct result scores 4 points, difference or tendency 2 points each.
- Answering bonus questions correctly scores 5 points.
In the knockout phase, the result after 90 minutes counts. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count towards the score.
The standard point values can be customized in your own prediction game.
Does odds tipping work?
A function for odds tipping is currently not provided. For individual rule adjustments, simply contact us.
Are there reminder e-mails?
Yes, registered participants will receive a reminder email on matchdays in good time before kick-off for games that have not yet been predicted. This function can be deactivated in the user settings.
What user roles and rights are there in a prediction league?
Participants:
- View prediction leagues, submit predictions, answer bonus questions
Manager:
- Invite and remove participants
- Provide further participants with a manager role
- view an overview of predictions not yet submitted in the BASIC version
Owner:
- Automatically assigned role when creating a new prediction league
- Edit and delete prediction league
- Owner and manager roles assigned
- Set color and logo per prediction league in the BASIC version
Questions about technology, support & data protection
Can you set up the prediction game for us and add content?
Yes, we are happy to offer you the setup service as an extension to the PREMIUM package. Customers of Tippevent ALLSTAR and Tippevent ALL-INCLUSIVE do not have to worry about anything else and will automatically receive the setup from us.
Who provides the support?
We are happy to answer any technical questions you may have about tippevents. For organizational questions from individual participants, please contact the organizer of the respective prediction game. In the administration area of Tippevent PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE, a separate contact page can be created for this purpose.
What are the business hours of the tippevent team?
You can reach us with your questions from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the World Championship, we are of course also available in the evenings and at weekends to ensure the tournament runs smoothly.
Can I integrate my own CSS file?
It is currently not possible to change the global design of the prediction game using your own CSS files.
- In the BASIC package, you can add your own logo and color design to individual prediction leagues.
- The PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE versions offer access to the administration area, where further customizations such as background graphics, favicon or home page texts are possible.
- We would be happy to advise you on further changes for an individual prediction game.
What happens to your user data?
The application runs on our server and you acquire the rights of use for the respective booking period. You as the organizer and we as the technical operator have equal access to the user data.
In accordance with our privacy policy, we collect personal data exclusively for the operation of the application. According to the applicable EU General Data Protection Regulation, this data may not be used for other purposes, such as sales campaigns.
At the end of the tournament, the user database will be emptied. On request, you will receive a copy of the relevant user data beforehand.
Where is the user data stored?
Tippevent is hosted by our service provider on German servers and in accordance with German data protection law and the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The location of the data and our partner’s ISO 27001 certificate for IT security can be verified on request.
Only necessary inventory and traffic data is collected for operation. Details can be found in the prediction game’s privacy policy.
Can you embed the prediction game on your own site?
Integration on other websites is currently only possible via iFrame. We are working on an interface for extended integration.
However, the PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE versions allow operation under a separate subdomain (e.g. https://tippspiel. euer-unternehmen.de) as well as extensive design customizations. This allows the prediction game to fit seamlessly into your website.
